21. Season End Playoffs, Tournaments, Festivals

Boys Season End


Varsity, Junior Varsity, U14A, U12A, U10A

  • End of season playoffs and championships.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 games played during the regular season to qualify for playoffs.
  • Must have played all teams in conference at least once.
  • Top eight teams will be seeded and participate in a single elimination tournament for divisions with 11 or more teams.
  • For divisions with 10 or less teams the top 6 teams will be seeded and participate in a single elimination tournament.
  • Seeds 1 and 2 will receive a first round bye.
  • No consolation games for high school varsity or JV teams.
  • 1st and 2nd  place teams will receive a medal of recognition.

U14Bv and U12Bv

  • Every team at these levels will participate in an end of season single elimination tournament in seeded flights of 6-10 teams.
  • Teams must play each team in your conference at least once to qualify to play in the end of season tournament.
  • NCJLA Tournament and Championship (third weekend in May) will be structured using rankings from the NCJLA website to assign seedings.

U14Br, U12Br, U10 and U8

  • End of season festival.  Each team will play two games with no champion or tournament format.
  • Check the NCJLA calendar for specific dates, times and locations.

Boys Varsity All Stars and All League Honorees

During the final day of playoffs the NCJLA will also showcase an All Star Boys Varsity Game. (ending in 2016) 

At the close of the season the Boys High School Commissioner will announce the All League Honorees. (ending in 2016)
 

(Beginning in 2017) 

The Boys High School Commissioner coordinates the All Star selection process.

Detailed description of the selection process will be sent to coaches mid-season.

Players will be recognized during playoffs on May 13, 2017 in between the first and second rounds of playoffs.
 

Girls End of Season
 

GHS, U14A and U12A

  • End of season playoffs and championships.
  • Must have met the minimum number of scheduled games to qualify for playoffs.
  • Must have played all teams in conference at least once and for GHS one inter-conference game. (scheduling rules)
  • For GHS the top 4 teams from each conference will participate in the championship tournament. (ending in 2016)
  • Top eight teams will be seeded and participate in a single elimination tournament for divisions with 11 or more teams.
  • For divisions with 10 or less teams the top 6 teams will be seeded and participate in a single elimination tournament.
  • Seeds 1 and 2 will receive a first round bye.
  • 1st, and 2nd place teams will receive a medal of recognition at the NCJLA End of Season Championship Game.
  • For information on seeding please see the RPI document. (ending in 2016)
  • The Girls Director and Commissioners will announce seedings and playoff locations prior to May 6, 2017.

U14B, U12B, and U10

  • Every team at these levels will participate in an end of season flighted tournament in seeded flights of 6-10 teams.
  • You must have met minimum game scheduling requirements for your division to qualify for end of season events. Click here for the Scheduling Rules.
  • GU10 flighted tournament is typically the first Saturday in May.
  • GU14B and GU12B flighted tournament is typically the third weekend in May.
  • Rankings will be based off of divisions standings on League Athletics and head to head play.
  • Please check the NCJLA calendar for your end of season event. 

U8 End of season festival

  • Each team will play either 4, 25” games or 2 regulation games.

  • Typically the second Saturday in May, please check the NCJLA calendar for the specific date, time and location.
